Parts of arms and legs have lost 60 percent feeling and use. 3 years later, one foot has to be amputated and six months later, the other is gone. While in a physical rehabilitation center, part of me is asking “Why Me?” I have always been a hard worker.

Great Book
I am Dave.......Gary's brother. I even learned some things that I did not know. This was a great book. I am so proud of what Gary has been through. It gives me a sense of inspiration and lets me know that even though everyone has problems, it is your own determination and "choice" on how to deal with them. It is an easy read with very good points brought out. The bottom line is........ IT IS YOUR CHOICE...........on how you deal with problems.

Even though life happens when you make a plan, one needs to pick themselves up and do the best they can. It's their choice. Never go on the negative when you can choose to think positively. A man with a great attitude!
Wow.. I read this book in one day. I started reading it and couldn't put it down. Gary is such an inspiration. Here is a man who had a rough start in life and always keeps a good attitude! He grew up in foster care and was eventually adopted. No family is perfect byany means but Gary finds the good in people no matter what the situation is!! He joined the service when he was 17 and had some fascinating jobs. Later he married and had 2 boys that he is so proud of.. After a trageic accident he had to adjust to his new life in a wheelchair.. Life has not been easy for him but he doesn'y let his injuries keep him down for long!! I really enjoyed reading your story and I hope that others will as well...
